Eddie Patin writes weird fiction on the edge of sci-fi, horror, and dark fantasy.

His stories explore dangerous worlds, broken systems, and the people forced to survive inside them – whether that means hunting through alien landscapes, navigating collapsing realities, or facing things that don’t make sense no matter how hard you try to understand them.

Known for blending fast-paced action with high-concept ideas, Eddie’s work often centers on characters learning how reality works … and what it costs to bend it. His books combine grounded survival, brutal environments, and bizarre worlds touched by something vast and cosmic – where the universe is bigger, stranger, and less forgiving than it first appears.

His writing stays grounded in physical detail – clear action, believable use of weapons, and dialogue that reflects how people actually think and talk under pressure. The result is fiction that feels both strange and tangible: ideas pushed to their limits, anchored by characters you can feel who have to deal with consequences in real terms.

Originally from south Louisiana, Eddie has spent most of his life in Colorado, with a brief detour into professional poker in Las Vegas. He is also a musician, artist, firearms and pointy-things enthusiast, and longtime marketing and design professional.

When he’s not writing, he’s usually working on creative projects, exploring new ideas, or thinking about how far a story can be pushed before it breaks.

His favorite fiction authors are Stephen King, Michael Crichton, Ayn Rand, and Robert E Howard. He is also an author of a variety of non-fiction topics and writes children’s books (under a pen name) designed to promote strong, stoic values and friendship and get reluctant readers reading. Eddie holds certifications as a SCUBA Divemaster, a NESTA Personal Trainer, and an NRA Firearms Instructor.

Oren Suzuki is the author of the DeClutter Magic series, a practical approach to home organization built around simplicity, clarity, and long-term habit change. Drawing inspiration from the teachings of his Japanese grandmother, Suzuki’s work focuses on the idea that environment directly shapes mindset, productivity, and overall well-being. Rather than treating organization as an occasional task, his philosophy frames it as a foundational system for improving daily life.

Oren is a second generation Japanese-American, and an interior design consultant living and working in Manhattan, New York. Many of his books reflect a magical time of his life when he lived with his Sobo (his grandmother) in his family’s hometown down in Southern Japan.

Returning to America after his teen years in Japan, Oren became a writer and a consultant to assist the Western world with “DeClutter Magic”, inspired by his grandmother’s effective system of home organization.

Nowadays, he has a wife, two children, a very lazy cat, and writes books from his serene home office when he is not meeting with clients.
